The last Board of Trustees meeting for the semester started of with a bang. Amongst the attendees were two deputies from the Sherriff's department. The deputies were present due to the expected presence of former Rio Hondo track coach, Geoff Skarr. While Higher Education becomes harder to reach due to the current fiscal crisis of the state, students of Rio Hondo who have shown academic excellence have been awarded scholarships as they journey off to higher education.
