Schoolboy Q

The new player in the game

There's a new rapper on the scene with a lot of new attributes, like a mixture of Rap and R&B and adds a different flavor to the music. When I hear his music I feel pulled into someone else's gravity and life, he expresses himself with his affection. His philosophy is very different. He has a strange way of relating to the listeners. The CD is about women, drugs, lust, love and a fantasy world that School Boy Q  puts you in as you listen to the album.

‘Indian School’ to release ‘The Cruelest Kind’

After having been out of the music loop for some time I decided to jump back in and see how my former favorite bands were doing. To my surprise my favorite punk band Audio Karate had disbanded and turned a new leaf. I now present to you "Indian School," with former Audio Karate members Art Barrios (vocals/guitar), Gabriel Camacho (drums), Justo Gonzalez (bass), and new members Anthony Leach (lead guitar), and Eric Wood (piano).

Drake raps ‘Take Care’

The album Drake's "Take Care" is pretty good and I believed it's worth buying the CD. Once again Drake's album puts you in a world full of love, reality, relationships and truth. It's one of the top selling albums in the United States, according to media sources. Drake's songwriting debuted at number one on the U.S Billboard charts selling 631,000 copies in its first week.

West and Jay tag team

Watch the Throne is the name of Jay-Z and Kanye West's new braggadocio-rap filled album, which was released in August, and U.S Tour, which I was fortunate enough to attend the second night of the tour in Atlanta Georgia this past Saturday. The house was packed at the Phillips Arena in Downtown Atlanta. The energy was through the roof. When the lights dimmed, and the bass began to shake the stands, you knew you were about to see two world class performers do what they do best, entertain.

Love and Rocket Vol. 1: The Transformation

After only one album release for Warner Bros., Murs, the president of Hip-Hop, goes back to his independent roots with Love and Rocket Vol. 1: The Transformation. The longtime rapper worked with his new DD172/BLUROC label mates, with all producing duties handled by SkiBeatz. The album's wide range of beats with rhymes over them makes for a good listen over and over again.

‘Dangerous!’ album review

Most bands that are putting out music these days tend to leave me nostalgic for what was once an organic punk rock feel in music (techno beat nowhere to be found) which is what  the up and coming band Dangerous! is bringing back to music.

The R.E.D. album by The Game

Pawz1

‘Everybody raps now’

Every generation produces their own stars and future legends by supporting their music. If it wasn't  for your friend showing you a strange Cd named 36 Chambers you wouldn't  of been part of making WuTang who they are.

  • Action, just action

Denzel Washington (Tobin Frost) and Ryan Reynolds (Matt Weston) combine their outstanding talents to create what could be best described as a mediocre film. "Safe House" provides what one would expect from watching the previews, a two hour extended cat and mouse chase scene. The film's plot is based around Tobin Frost turning himself in after years of selling government secrets, but the safe house he is in is attacked. This leads to Matt Weston, the rookie operative, to be forced to escape with the crook and remain alive.
